Description:
Shiloh is a sweet, 1-2 year old Treeing Walker Hound female who was found lost with a small terrier in August. Upon being rescued, it was learned that Shiloh was in fact helping to care for the terrier, and was bringing food to it's location from local residents of the area. Shiloh has been staying with a foster home who finds her to be a great companion and family pet.

Her personality is very unique. She's rather shy with a gentle and affectionate demeanor towards people and other pets, and seems to express a special loyalty to anyone willing to train and care for her. Unlike most hounds, Shiloh seems very content to remain close to her foster home residence rather than roam, and is very polite and quiet, only voicing herself when she feels it's time to come back in the house with her foster family.

Since her rescue, Shiloh has been exposed to dogs of all sizes, cats, and children, and seems to love and get along with them all. However, Shiloh's trust needs to be earned, as she's timid towards strangers and visitors at first. Although still a very young dog, Shiloh is unusually calm, yet is growing more free-spirited as she now has time to play rather than fend for her own survival. Shiloh enjoys playing with her foster family's two small dogs and children both outside and inside the home, but also values her quiet time vegging out on her cozy dog bed.

She has learned quickly to sit and shake, and is housebroken. Unlike most large sporting dogs that prefer to run, Shiloh seems very content on small property boundaries, but loves to go on lengthy walks in the country. Shiloh has shown no signs of food aggression or dominance.
