Safe Haven of Iowa County

Otis came to us as a stray along with his 'girlfriend' Nixie.   We held them for longer than usual before listing because we were so sure that a family would be calling us soon to say that they were looking for them.   However, it is time to let them go to a family to get the love they deserve and earn.   They are brought up to date on vaccinations, heartworm test is negative and they have been microchipped.    These two little cuties are ready to go to a new home to give lots of love to some lucky family.
 
We had been indicating that we wanted these two doxies to be adopted together.   However, upon getting to know them better we have learned that Nixie  shows a different side we do not see when Otis is with her.   She seems to love small children and will want to go to preschoolers to be petted and role over on her back for a belly rub.  Otis does not think small children are that appealing and may be a bit uneasy around them, at least if he does not already know them.   We do not know about his reaction to  children he is used to.  What we do know is Otis has a great personality, loves to run and play in our dog play yard and just makes you smile when you are around him!
