Safe Haven of Iowa County

Clifton is quite the little mystery - he was found wandering out on a gravel road between Amana and Norway. We can't believe he doesn't have a family missing him, and on top of that mystery, we just can't figure out what breeds this little fella is a mix of! He sure is a friendly guy, and he we just can't help but think those are Beagle ears :) but it really is anyone's guess. Clifton could be a mix of a freckled hunting Spaniel or Pointer, and one volunteer even suggested he may have a little "Puggle" (Beagle/Pug mix) in there and he does have that adorable underbite! All we know for sure is he is a CUTIE! 

We are getting to know Clifton yet, and once his vaccinations have had a chance to protect him fully, we will be introducing him to a few of our other residents and see how he does with other dogs.
