Remembering Our Beloved Pets:

For here, between this world and the next,
Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.
On this golden land, they wait and they play,
Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,
For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.
Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,
Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

- Excerpt from the "Rainbow Bridge" (inspired by a Norse Legend)

Although you are gone, you shall not be forgotten...

Sparky
Sparky was only with his foster family for 2 weeks, during his appointment to be neutered and for vaccinations, he tested heartworm positive. The disease was very advanced and during his second treatment Sparky's heart gave out, he passed away on June 28, 2009. Sparky was only 6-9 months old and it is such a same since this disease could have easily been prevented. Sparky was a very sweet and smart dog. Even being as sick as he was there was this spark in his eyes that made him so special. His favorite thing was playing in the wading pool with his foster sisters. We are comforted knowing that his last days were very happy ones and he knew that he finally had a family that loved and cared for him. Sparky will be in our hearts forever! I hope anyone that reads this will realise how important it is to heartguard your dog every month, so they will not have the same fate as poor little Sparky.
