Remembering Our Beloved Pets: For here, between this world and the next, No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness, Walter was not with the Safe Haven family very long before his passing on to Rainbow Bridge. In that short time he was loved very much. Walter spent his days laying in the grass while napping. He gave a lot of love to all the volunteers. While being groomed a lump was found on him which was cancer and had spread throughout. A volunteer opened her home to Walter so his remaining days were in comfort. He passed away on May 15, 2012. We will miss him very much but know he is suffering no more. Gus came to Safe Haven with some issues from his past. It was difficult for him to trust but there were a few he warmed up too. Gus is now at peace resting at Rainbow Bridge. He was loved and will be missed. Axel was a funny yet serious little dog that loved walks and running off leash searching for rabbits. He loved his rides in the truck while picking up supplies for all the Safe Haven dogs. Axel also loved nose and belly rubs, his ears scratched, and jerky treats. He is resting now on Rainbow Bridge and is missed everyday by the volunteers at Safe Haven. Runt came to my home in 2007 with many health issues. But with the proper medication and care he became a healtier and loving boy. His time with my family was wonderful. His last few months was very difficult since his kidneys were failing. All we could do was give him as much love and wait for him to let us know it's time to rest. That time was November 29, 2011. He is now resting peacefully and struggling no more. We will miss him very much yet we were so blessed to have him in our lives. We love you, Runt! Penny was a sweet girl who had lots of energy and wanted nothing but attention. She was in Kidney Failure and passed away on November 18, 2011. Penny is resting peacefully at Rainbow Bridge. She will be missed by all who knew her. |
