Safe Haven of Iowa County

We are seeking a foster or adoptive person for Lilly that can be patient and help us get to know her better. She seems like a very sweet little dog, though a little shy, but we are finding that she seems to have protective issues when it comes to food, and possibly her kennel? This may be related in part to the fact that she is deaf, and this may be in part due to the fact that she's in an unfamiliar setting at the shelter, with strange dogs/people coming and going constantly! We aren't sure yet, and we are trying to help her sort these things out, but want to be upfront, as we understand not everyone has the ability to safely manage/assess these types of things in their home. The majority of the time, Lilly is sweet, wiggly, charming, and adorable! We bet if you'd come to meet her, you would want to help her out as much as we do!
