Safe Haven of Iowa County

Frankie came to us in August and was with us only a few days before he was adopted.   He recently came back to us because he and his new family were having trouble coping with separation anxiety on his part when they would leave for even a short time/distance. His barking bothered their neighbors in the apartment complex.  
Since being back he is coping pretty well with the shelter atmosphere and does not seem to exhibit any more anxiety than any dog.   However, he is wearing a thunder shirt (because we had one that fit him and we anticipated him being more anxious)   We don't know if he is comforted by other dogs being near-by or the shirt or the fact he can hear volunteers coming and going.  He is not showing the extreme anxiety that was described to us so it may just be a combination of factors that no longer exist for him.  
He does still show his loving side that the family described and he is a lively little fellow. We have guessed him to be various combinations of breeds, depending on the eye of the beholder - and are not sure what his mix is.   He is certainly cute and loving, though!
