Safe Haven of Iowa County

Beanie and her buddy, Parker, came to Safe Haven as their mom had to go to a nursing home.  We promised her family we would find a good home or good homes for them.  Parker is the lead man.  Beanie sticks with him for guidance on what to do in all these unusual situations they find themselves in now at the shelter.  Below you can see how she follows his lead in the pictures.  The family did not ask that they stay together.  We are hoping Beanie becomes braver once she is around everyone at the shelter more. Currently, she will nip lightly when interaction is requested of her. She does not seem to want to be aggressive, she is just very, very scared. 

Beanie is described as loving but slow to warm up to strangers.  She has lived a very quiet, calm life, so she gets anxious around children or a lot of commotion.  She will be spayed the beginning of August and should be ready for her forever home around the 10th.
