Description:
Blake was in the shelter for about four months before he was placed in a foster home. He had been suffering from shelter fatigue. In his foster home he has gained some needed weight. He rarely barks and gets along well with the other dogs in the house. He sleeps all night in his crate. He appears to have some degree of separation anxiety and would do best in a home where he wouldn’t be alone for more than half a day at a time. He is a mixed breed dog but does have the thick coat, dark muzzle, and curved tail typical of a German Shepherd. He appears to be about 3-4 years old. Blake is a very loyal and loving dog. He loves one-on-one attention and belly rubs. He likes to take walks, and does very well on a leash, especially with a gentle leader. He is learning to heel. He will sit and stay for food, knows his name, and will come when called in the house. We still keep him on a leash outside. He loves to be brushed and get a bath.
