Description:
Basil was born with cerebellar hypoplasia and is not able to walk.  He scoots himself on his side everywhere he wants to go.  It helps if he is on carpeting or a rug.  He is able to eat and drink out of bowls with low sides and use a litter box with a sloping end so he can get in it.  So, all in all, he does everything any other kitty does but just goes about it in a different way.  There is a great deal of information about this condition on the web, so please look this over and see if your home would be a perfect fit for Basil.

He is very sweet, loves to play with his toys, and loves to have someone cuddle him.

He would prefer a home with no toddlers, and most likely would do best adopted with his mom Petunia or as an only cat, as he hasn't seemed to want to make any new cat friends yet while at Safe Haven.
