Description:This super sweet litter of pups were relinquished to Safe Haven because the owner was not able to care for this unplanned litter of pups and asked for some help finding the puppies good homes and having the mother of the puppies spayed. The family has the mother and she is a small Schnauzer mix, but they have no idea who the father is. Our best guess is a Blue Heeler, just by the look of the pups. Our volunteers are always happy to have little cute bundles of joy to care for and cuddle with, and these cuties are no exception as they have quickly won our hearts!
There is now just 1 little boy left. It is the puppy on the left in this picture.
The puppies recieved their first set of shots on July 25th, and will be ready to go to their forever homes on August 1st. Adoptive owners will be required to finish the remainder of the puppy shots if the puppy is adopted prior to them being due for their second round of shots. The owners will also be responsible for the puppy getting its rabies shot when old enough. Since the puppies are too young to be spayed/neutered, all adoptive families will be required to provide Safe Haven proof of this procedure being done by the time they are 6 months old. Once that paperwork is received, Safe Haven can issue each family a $50 refund from their $250 adoption fee if requested to help cover some of the expense of the spay/neuter surgery.
Right now these puppies are just incredible bundles of cuteness, but along with that comes a lot of responsibility. Puppies require a lot of time, patience and work with housetraining, and puppies cannot be left alone all day in a kennel, so this will be a work in progress for their new families over the next several months. The family must have a plan in place for potty training if they are gone for extended hours daily. Please be ready for the time and responsibilities of owning and caring for a puppy if you are considering applying for one of these puppies.
If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application, and if you know you would like a certain puppy, please describe the specific puppy on the application.
