Description:Safe Haven was asked to help find good homes for these 8 puppies and their mother Miley, a purebred German Shorthair Pointer. The father of the puppies is thought to be the neighbor's black lab.
**Update - 7/5/14 - After just 1 week on our website, there are only 3 puppies left available for adoption - 2 males and 1 female. The puppies all received their first set of shots and were microchipped at 7 weeks, on June 27th. They have received their first treatment of Frontline and Heartguard as well, so they are officially ready to go to their new homes!
Adoptive owners will be required to finish the remainder of the puppy shots if the puppy is adopted prior to them being due for their second round of shots. The owners will also be responsible for the puppy getting it's rabies shot when old enough. Since the puppies are too young to be spayed/neutered, all adoptive families will be required to provide Safe Haven proof of this procedure being done by the time they are 6 months old. Once that paperwork is received, Safe Haven can issue each family a $50 refund from their $250 adoption fee if requested to help cover some of the expense of the spay/neuter surgery.
Right now these puppies are just incredible bundles of cuteness, but along with that comes a lot of responsibility and work. They have just been started on housetraining, but puppies cannot be left alone all day in a kennel, so this will be a work in progress for their new families over the next several months. The family must have a plan in place for potty training if they are gone for extended hours daily. Please be ready for the time and responsibilities of owning and caring for a puppy if you are considering applying for one of Miley's puppies.
If you are interested in adopting, please submit an adoption application and once approved, you may come and meet the puppies and choose which one you feel would be the best fit for your family.
