Description:Maizy was found as a stray - she showed up at a farm and was very skinny, weak and scared. It took the homeowners several days of feeding her and gaining her trust before they could catch her, but she eventually trusted them enough, and luckily they were able to bring her to Safe Haven.
It took several days for Maizy to be brave enough to even bark at all, and eventually start to come up to her kennel door to meet visitors and volunteers. She is still shy, and really seems to have had a few rough experiences before she made it to safety. Maizy does not seem to like groups of people by her kennel, and is still not trusting of men very easily. She will bark quite loudly, and occasionally even growl when male visitors walk by her kennel......but she is learning to trust humans in general, so we are hoping to find her a very kind, loving, patient family for her to grow her confidence and just be able to enjoy life again.
