Safe Haven of Iowa County

A family surrendered Chance to Safe Haven in hopes that we can find a great new family to adopt him.  Chance is just 4 months old and the family had him for almost a month before they realized they are not home enough to care for him and asked us to find a better suited home. He is crate trained and does pretty good with his housetraining - he just needs to go outside often because he is still a young puppy.  He has lived around several other dogs, is very curious, loves to play and enjoys kissing everyone he meets!  He has learned some manners and knows "sit" very well!  He seems like he will be a quick learner and just a great all around dog.

The family found Chance on Craigslist in Northern Iowa and know that his parents were a Boxer and a Lab.  They had very good intentions of giving him a great new life - but now know that he would be better off with a family that is home more.  They would love for Chance to find a family that has more time to give him the attention he deserves, and maybe even has children for him to play with!  Safe Haven is happy to be able to help Chance find his forever family - one that has the time and patience that having a puppy requires.
