Safe Haven of Iowa County

Molly is a sugar-sweet older female German shepherd whose past life was with an older lady.   Molly came to us the same day her 'mom' passed away and was naturally very lonesome and needy for several days.   To her credit  she has adjusted fairly well to the shelter surroundings and seems anxious to greet and please the volunteers she sees and is getting to know.     We are guessing she was used to living inside and outside.    She has not been underfed---perhaps those extra pounds are a result of rewards for being such a good dog.  Molly would prefer to not share her life/love with other canine companions.


Molly knows that it can be hard for older dogs to find a forever home, especially when she prefers to be an only dog.  But she can't stop hoping.  What else can she do?
