  We found Tommy starved and nearly dead at the dump in Marengo.   He only weighed 6.9 pounds, was covered in fleas and had a respiratory infection.  Poor baby could hardly walk or breathe and didn't eat for 4 days.   I had to coax him to eat with chicken gravy and he had to have sub q fluids twice.  After a lot of caring and worrying he is thriving.  He has put on 3.5 pounds and he saunters around the house.  He is a really long cat ---probably one of the longest I have seen.  He will probably weigh about 18 pounds when he is done filling out.  The surprising and disturbing thing is that he is neutered and declawed on all four feet.   We  need to find Tommy a loving inside home to call his own - he doesn't appreciate the hustle and bustle of our home.  When he has a person all to himself he is very very affectionate.   If you could give Tommy a home contact me at bergerbuilt@iowatelecom.net .
