Description:
My name is King. I am a male black lab mix who was removed from an unhealthy and unsafe place at the end of March. When I was removed my body was shutting down, due to lack of food, I was only 35lbs. Since this time I have been placed in a foster home, with several other dogs, including my play pal Zeek. When I got here I was given food and treats right away. Of course I was still scared, wouldn't you be? My body was SO messed up, that when I ate, my bodily functions were out of control. Given regular feedings, several times a day, and numerous treats, my body quickly became stronger. I am now about 60lbs of lovable, teachable, and loyal dog. My foster mom has taught me some basic commands. Hey she uses food to teach me, what would you do? Learn for food? You betcha!! I enjoy going for rides in the car and will adjust to the bath thing. Even though I am a lab mix, some stuff I have not been introduced to. My foster parents already have several dogs in their house so I stay in my house, which is a cozy little shed, with my own bed. I am kennel trained and my parents think housetraining would be easy for me. I enjoy it here, however I want my own parents and forever home with my very own couch to lay on.
