Now why do you suppose we named him Hershey? First, of course, there’s his beautiful chocolate color—there’s definitely some Chocolate Lab in the mix. But more important, and something you can’t tell from just looking at pictures: he’s one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet. He’s very friendly with people and also gets along well with most other dogs.

Hershey is an energetic dog with a lot of puppy left in him. But he’s also extremely bright, attentive, and quick to learn. With a few dried liver treats as incentive, Hershey quickly learned “sit,” “stay,” and “come,” and he’s doing better at walking on a leash every day. He also does very well in his crate and is content to chew on his favorite chew toys until it’s time to go out.

Hershey likes getting outside, and loves to walk and run and play. But he also enjoys quiet times, and would be very content to lie on your lap or on the floor with a chew toy while you watch TV. He truly is people-oriented, and always wants to be around someone.

Hershey was neutered in early March and is up-to-date on all of his shots.

Chocolate-brown, sweet as candy, but definitely not fattening: come fall in love with Hershey today!
