Have you ever wanted a Lab, but thought they were too big???? Then this is the dog for you!!!!!!!  Hammy is a miniature male black lab.

He plays well with other dogs and ignores cats. He seems a bit shy at first but loves his caretakers with all his might.  Hammy is a very laid back dog but also loves to play.  When he is in the mood to play, he as energy to burn.  Don't let the white hair on his face fool ya - he sure has lots of playing left in him!!  He loves running aroung out in the snow!  Then when playtime is over, he retreats back to his favorite napping spot.  He is just the perfect dog!!!  He is estimated to be 8 years old. He is a very sweet and loving dog, just looking for a better life in a new forever home.  He loves to go for long walks and sleep on the couch while you watch t.v. He loves kids and adults alike.

When his foster parents are gone he has free roam of the house.  He does not enjoy being locked up in a confined place or to be in a kennel/crate.  He loves to sleep in his foster parents bed.... they think he is pretty lazy and spoiled!!  When he wants to go out he goes to the door and barks once.  When he is hungry he goes to the kitchen and barks once.  They think he seems to be pretty smart since he has them trained well!   

Hammy has been with Safe Haven for quite a long time now and he is ready to find that forever home to spend the rest of his spoiled life!!
