Safe Haven of Iowa County

Although Rilee had a challenging start to life (abandoned and contracted parvo and received treatment), she is now an active, healthy and extremely sweet and loving puppy.  Rilee looks very cute with one ear up and the other down. She likes to be with people and wants to sit/be with you if she can.  She stays in her kennel pretty well, especially if someone is in the room with her.  However, she is ok with being kenneled alone if she is tired or has a toy to play with.  She sleeps all night (in her kennel) and if let out when she wakes up (around 7:00 AM), her kennel is dry.  She has made very good progress with house training during the short time I've fostered her.

Rilee gets along well with my other two dogs and especially likes to play with the younger one.  She loves being outside; exploring, playing in the wading pool, chewing on bones and just generally having a good time.  She also likes to be inside where she is allowed to be on "her" couch, but also like to stay around me.  Rilee takes naps during the day (in her kennel) but is tired by evening and goes to sleep around 8:00 or 9:00 PM.  She walks with a leash but still needs practice.  She knows her name and generally will come when called.  She gets along with other dogs and all people.  She has not been around cats, so that is unknown at this time.

Rilee has been an easy puppy to foster and I think she would make any family a great pet.
