Description:
We could not be any more excited to introduce BeckyJo to the world! This incredible sweet, young dog somehow found herself homeless and a stray in Cedar Rapids and came into their animal shelter in February, 2025. The shelter was overflowing with great dogs and they reached out to other local shelters in March and invited us to come meet some of their dogs....and when Becky walked up to us that day with her huge stuffed animal shoved in her mouth and the back 1/2 of her body just could not stop wagging/wiggling - we just knew she would be a fantastic addition to our group of dogs awaiting adoption! You just simply can't meet her and not smile - her petite little frame, beautiful brindle coat and glowing personality are all so endearing! We are just getting her settled into Safe Haven as she was transferred into our care on Monday, March 26th - and that is when she earned her middle name Jo.....because we thought she was too special to not have a middle name! So we now call her BeckyJo and she seems to love it! She will eventually be dog and cat tested, and hopefully put a few more pounds on her little 35# body, but until then we are just soaking in her cuddles and loving everything about her.
