Meet Lola! Lola came into our care as an owner surrender after finding herself in need of a new loving home because her owner placed their other large dog into Lola’s crate….. with Lola ☹️ and it turns out Lola doesn’t want to share her private space.
Lola had lived successfully with this other dog up until that day and was fine as they had always been kenneled separately, but Lola did attack the other dog and just couldn’t safely and happily live there any longer. Lola is around 3 years old, and an absolute sweetheart with everyone she meets. She had been in a temporary "foster home" for a few weeks looking for her new forever home, where they learned that Lola does well with kids, cats, and their other dogs as long as they are properly introduced and supervised. This sweet girl has already become a 'favorite' of many during her short time at the shelter thus far, so we know she won't be with us long! Lola has been brought up-to-date on her vaccinations, had her spay surgery, and has been started on flea/tick & heartworm preventatives. She has history of allergies and needing treatment, so she has been started on daily Apoquel medication which has shown to help her allergies in the past.
