Avery came to Safe Haven as a local owner surrender, so we were able to get a little more history on this sweet dog, than we would have on our stray dogs that come in through our Pound. Avery's owner was no longer able to have multiple dogs in her living situation, so she asked Safe Haven to find a new home for Avery.
This owner told us that Avery is around 4 years old Jack Russell Terrier mix, and she knows some basic obedience commands. She is definitely a friendly little dog (weighing in at 28 pounds) that LOVES everyone she meets. Her owner has another dog in her home, and reports that Avery was fine living with that other smaller dog, as well as a few kitties in their home too. If an approved applicant has a dog in their home, we will require a meet-and-greet with any current dog(s) in the home to ensure Avery will be a a good fit. A favorite thing that Avery enjoys is watching TV - so if you're looking for an all around great companion, we really think Avery could be a fantastic addition to just about any family!
