Description:

Reba came to us as a local stray found in Ladora. She was obviously injured as she was found laying in the road by a very concerned local citizen. After more information unfolded, we were told she was hit by a pickup :( After receiving in-depth examinations by a veterinarian, xrays, and ultrasounds, Reba sustained nerve damage to her front leg/paw and showed to have bruised lungs, likely from the impact of the hit. Reba spent several days with us in-house receiving specialized medical care including close observation and pain management medications.

Reba was released for a foster home to continue improving her health, healing, and for continued socialization. She has been thriving in her foster home with another dog. Over the last several weeks, she has really blossomed. She loves to play with her foster home canine companion and crashes hard at the end of playtime. Reba continues to have a slight limp on her front leg but doesn't seem to slow her down at all. Physical therapy stretches are still taking place daily to continue improving her mobility and use of that injured paw.

Reba is cleared for adoption - please contact us to set up a time to meet her today! The adoption application can be found on our website at www.wesavepets.com as the first step of the adoption process.
