Safe Haven of Iowa County

Meet Lucy! This young gal was recently surrendered to us due to living changes within her family causing stress with having two larger-sized dogs in the home. Lucy lived with her canine brother and with the two siblings together, they would get into the typical "sibling trouble" causing their family to realize that one young pooch was what they could safely handle in their home. We know Lucy was loved dearly - so we can't wait to help her find her next home so she can continue having her person(s) to love on. She is full of sweet, smart, spunk! 

Lucy is a sweet, loving girl. Being just over a year old, she has the typical puppy-like energy but appears to have great manners too. She does well walking on a leash, we were told she did well with the grandchildren (of all ages) in the home, and would most likely do well with other dogs in her home too. Lucy has never been around nor lived with cats. New environments can be somewhat intimidating at first for Lucy, but with lots of love & treats, she has warmed up quickly to us. 

Lucy has been brought up-to-date on her vaccinations, has been microchipped, and she was previously spayed... which means she is ready to begin her search for her new forever home! We know this sweet girl won't be with us long!
