Meet Dexter! This handsome fella came to us as he was displaying signs of anxiety in his home with his family. He had become protective of his home and his family. As hard as the decision was to be made, his previous owners decided to find him a new home. A home where he doesn't feel the need to protect - and can live his happy, worry-free life. His family loved him dearly, so a new home that can also continue to spoil this boy rotten shall definitely be in store as well!!

Dexter has been used to going to doggie daycare with his previous family. His family says he loves to go to doggie daycare, and truly thrives. He does well around other dogs at daycare, and he also lived with another dog whom he also got along well with. Dexter can be hesitant around new people, and will typically bark - especially in new or unfamiliar environments. He takes a brief moment to warm up to new faces, but once he knows you... he is a real sweet, gentle boy! 

Dexter would love to have a home where he can continue to be active, burning off his energy. A home where his owners are home often would be great, as Dexter loves his people... and may help with any anxiousness he may feel while his people are away.
