Safe Haven of Iowa County

Chickpea and her brother Garbanzo were brought in to us with their mother when they were just 2 days old! Mama had ringworm and unfortunately passed that down to her babies. These siblings have gone through rounds of ringworm treatment and built up their heath and immune system all the while developing strong kitty personalities!

Chickpea takes a bit to come out of her shell, but once she understands you are going to play with her, she is all about the attention. After playtime, she loves to cuddle with her brother.
Garbanzo has longer hair than Chickpea and is more outgoing. He loves to play and seeks out human love and attention. He is a great snuggler - whether it be with a person or with his sister. He loves windows and keeping an eye on the world. He helps Chickpea loosen up a bit and serves as the "big brother" type (even though they are the same age).

Garbanzo and Chickpea would love to be adopted together as they perfectly compliment one another. They have had a long road to get to the point of being healthy and adoptable and would love nothing more than a permanent family to love and them back.
