Description:
Other Pictures of Yogi (click to see larger version):Yogi, along with his two siblings and Mom (black Lab mix? photo of her down below) came to us as strays. After never being reclaimed, they will all be looking for their new forever homes very soon! Take a look at those great big paws!! We believe he has lots of growing to do yet. Our best guess at their breed is Lab/Great Pyrenees mix, as Yogi has rear double-declaws which is a typical characteristic of the livestock guarding dogs. All three puppies love people, attention, and their FOOD!! Their ideal family will be committed to taking a puppy obedience class to help get hin and his new home started on the right foot - he will need a family that can commit to continue proper socialization, teach him all about walking on a leash, and also all the work that goes into house-training a puppy, which requires a lot of patience and persistence with working on a schedule. As we don't know their history, we are unsure of any previous obedience training, house training, etc. A young boy like him will need to be taken outside frequently - as often as every 4 hours in the beginning until a routine is determined. An ideal home for him will be one where he won't have long periods of time during the day spent alone, so he can have the best chance of successful housetraining and have years of wonderful love and devotion to focus on! If you're looking for a spunky young boy that has lots of love to give, Yogi may be your boy! The first step to the adoption process is all done right here by filling out an adoption application - an adoption application can be found on our website at www.wesavepets.com. Once this application is submitted, a Safe Haven volunteer will be in contact to discuss the next steps of the meeting/adoption process.
