Meet Asher! This well-mannered young boy came to us as a stray found near Conroy. He was brought into the Iowa County Pound via the Iowa County Sheriff's Office. After never being reclaimed, Asher (the name we have chosen for him while under our care) has been examined by our Veterinarian, had his neuter surgery, had a microchip implanted for identification, been brought up-to-date on his vaccinations, and has been started on monthly flea/tick & Heartworm preventatives.
This medium sized boy weighing around 30lbs is estimated to be around three years of age. His breed is a best guess based off of his characteristics.... but many are very curious to know what all is mixed in this adorable guy!? Many Safe Haven staff and volunteers have enjoyed getting to know Asher. We have learned that he has great manners and knows a select few basic commands. We couldn't believe there wasn't a family out looking for him after being brought to the Pound as a stray... but we know there is a forever home out there for this sweet little guy! He can't wait to find his new people and begin his new life in a forever home. Since we are unsure how Asher would do in a home with other pets, we would ask for there to be initial meet & greets and proper introductions with any current resident dog(s) before an official adoption takes place. We are committed to finding Asher the most well-suited home possible.
