Safe Haven of Iowa County

Benji came to us as an owner surrender. His family was not able to devote the amount of time they wished they could to this little fella. Being gone for 15+ hours a day at work, after school activities, etc. was just not fair for Benji as he was spending this time alone at home. He is used to spending these hours in his kennel - so he seems to be comfortable while kenneled. Benji would do best in a home where his owner(s) were home to spend lots of 1:1 time with him, maybe a lap to sit on(??!), and walks too of course. He can be somewhat timid of new people and new surroundings so coming to Safe Haven has been quite an adjustment for him. Once he is comfortable and has had the time to warm up, he is sure a sweet little guy. And how adorable are those big brown eyes?! 

Benji is up-to-date on his vaccinations, has been microchipped, examined by a veterinarian - so he is ready to find his new forever home!
