Safe Haven of Iowa County

Take a look at this cutie - his name is Toby! Toby came to Safe Haven with his brother Bingo. These two young boys were raised in a home setting of a retired breeder - unfortunately due to some health issues of the previous owner, neither of these cuties were well socialized. Upon arrival, both Toby and Bingo were very nervous and spent most of their first couple days huddled together in their bed. After a few days, with patience and consistency they have come around and began to come out of their shells. They have been under our care at the shelter for a week now and have already come along ways! They have been going outside on walks (with a harness) and have become very curious with the outdoors. They will require lots of patience and extra love in order for them to continue to grow and learn - housetraining, playing, snuggling, leash walking, obedience, etc. are all skills that these two young boys will need patience with as these are all new things for these little ones!
