Description:
Mattie is back with us due to her owner's declining health and needing to move to a care center, where Mattie wasn't able to make the move. Her previous owner and family say she has been the best dog for her elderly owner. She has been very well loved! Mattie was initially surrendered into our care in March of 2022. At that time, her owner at the time was experiencing health concerns and could no longer care for Mattie. She has stolen several of our hearts here at Safe Haven during her couple of stays... but we know there is a forever home out there for her! Once where she can continue living her life to the fullest - and receiving all of the spoils in the world! Mattie has been non-reactive to dogs here at the shelter, though she has never lived with another dog before. Her previous owner had a fenced-in yard that she loved. They say she enjoyed meeting the neighbor dogs through the fence, and always did well. She loves her walks and getting exercise! Mattie is current on all vetwork and is ready to find herself her forever home!
