Clove is very special and when you meet her you will feel the same way. Because she is a Cerebellar hypoplasia* baby she has a number of unique characteristics-----I bet you noticed her eyes. She also has the cutest little run when she crosses the haven floor to play with the other kittens. You can think of her as a special needs kitty, but she does not see things that way and neither do I. *Cerebellar hypoplasia most commonly occurs when a pregnant cat becomes infected with feline panleukopenia virus and passes the infection to her unborn kittens. The virus causes a developmental condition in unborn kittens in which the cerebellum of the brain fails to develop properly. The cerebellum is the portion of the brain that controls the fine motor skills, balance, and coordination. The condition is not painful or contagious. |
