Safe Haven of Iowa County

Shawna has been in a foster home while she gave birth and brought her 3 babies up to adoptable age.   Here is what her foster 'mom' says about her: 
"  She has been doing well at our house. Once the kittens came into Safe Haven we let Shawna have full range of the house all of the time. Prior to that she was mainly in our mud room/laundry room with the kittens. She is still a little skittish at times and her first instinct is to hide if she is caught off guard but she has become much more affectionate and now seeks out attention from humans. She’s also pretty vocal when she knows it is meal time and will let you know that she does not think you’re feeding her fast enough. She has been getting along pretty well with the other cats, especially Binx and Loki. She gets along fine with the dog too but has decided she does not love it when the dog is overly excited and wants to chase her. She tolerates the kids pretty well. She likes the oldest better since she is more calm and quiet. Overall I think she has really come a long ways from what she was like when she first came to our house. She has never acted out aggressively, instead she is more apt to hide."
