Safe Haven of Iowa County

This gorgeous boy is named Blue! Blue is around a 7 month old high energy ACD/Aussie mix. He is not a good apartment dog and will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation to keep him happy. Blue knows his name and "sit", but still needs help remembering to keep his manners in check when he gets overstimulated (he can get jumpy, mouthy, bites the leash, etc). Blue is incredibly smart and a blast to train, so with the right person he will be an amazing dog. Not the best fit for children at this time, Training classes would be a great idea for him! He gets excited when he sees dogs and wants to play, so a tolerant dog friend who doesn't mind puppy antics could likely work. He was interested in a friendly way during his cat introduction but he doesn't have boundaries. A dog-savvy cat might do okay with him. 

Blue came to us a little on the heavy side, so losing a few pounds would be in his best interest.
