Safe Haven of Iowa County

This robust fella came into Safe Haven as a stray from the North English area on 9/18/20.  He was already nuetered, but was not wearing any tags and was not microchipped - so we were unable to locate his family, and no one claimed him from the Iowa County Pound.  We have named him Alibi, and after administering vaccinations, de-worming, microchipping - he is ready for adoption!

Alibi is a large and solid guy, weighing in at 81# - and while he is pretty nice while out for a walk, he is quite a handful in his kennel as he loves to jump up on you as your leashing or unleashing, or if you stop to give him praise on a walk he gets pretty excited and again loves to jump up on you...so he clearly needs someone committed to working with him on some basic obedience skills yet. Because of his size and exuberance, Alibi would likely be too much for a home with small children - but would LOVE a family with some active teenagers to run and play with!
