Safe Haven of Iowa County

Vanilla Bean, also known as Tony, has returned to Safe Haven due to no fault of his own. 

Vanilla Bean began his journey to Safe Haven when he was dumped in a tape-shut box into someone's driveway along with Oscar and three adult cats. With a lot of care and time, Vanilla Bean has learned to trust people.

Vanilla Bean will need an adopter who is willing to be patient and understanding of some of the things that Vanilla Bean still worries about. Being chased down to be picked up scares him, perhaps because that is what happened to him before he was put into that box. Vanilla Bean is still sensitive to some noises and will very rarely hiss to let people know that he is scared. So he may not be the best fit for a family with young children. But Vanilla Bean does enjoy being picked up and he also rolls over to have his tummy rubbed. He is playful and loves cuddle up next to someone when he is ready for a nap.

What does Vanilla Bean like? Canned food, being pet, fluffy mice, and other cats. A meal of canned food will especially win Vanilla Bean's heart and purrs. He loves new places and exploring. He loves his brother, Oscar, but these two kittens do not have to be adopted together.
