Description:

Cocoa is a petite purebred Australian Shepherd that found herself needing a new home because her family had a baby and it became too stressful for Cocoa. While Cocoa had been around older kids in the past and was totally fine, her family realized Cocoa needs a new loving home without babies or toddlers. They reached out for help finding a new home better suited for Cocoa, and Safe Haven was happy to help. Typically we do not know much about the history of our dogs up for adoption, however Cocoa's prior family was happy to share what they know about Cocoa, including what type of home would best suit her.

Cocoa's family told us she is very smart and knows a few commands - sit, and lay down, etc.  - and she is also kennel trained, so she is kenneled at night or whenever she is home alone. Cocoa has been fine around cats and other dogs her size, but does not get along with large dogs. Cocoa also loves to play fetch, and still enjoys being fairly active although her family says she is a "pretty laid back dog".

We just know some lucky family will happily welcome Cocoa into their lives, and will be blessed to give and receive many years of love and devotion.
