Safe Haven of Iowa County

Update: Merlin was adopted and returned after not getting along with the adopter's cats. Before his adoption, Merlin was with two cats in his haven at the shelter and did well with them. Since his return, Merlin is now with two different cats in his haven and has no issues with them. Why didn't he like his adopter's cats? Only Merlin knows and he isn't telling us.

Merlin is a handsome, easy-going guy. He likes to be carried and will vocally remind whoever is carrying him that he also needs to be pet at the same time. Merlin would enjoy being the center of a human's attention. He has never had a home of his own and has spent his life until this point at a cat rescue. We don't know why this sweet boy didn't find his family there, but we hope that we can find him his purrfect home.
