Description:
Piglet was named after the the Winnie the Pooh character before we knew he has no trouble being brave unlike the Piglet in the Pooh story. But, just as in the story he is ready to be your best friend. The little fellow came in through the pound and has won hearts (In fact, I seriously considered adopting him but realized he is so much faster than me at doors I would be in constant trouble with fellow residents of our building.) He was actually adopted and went home for about 48 hours; but he showed himself to be a little 'hog' as opposed to piglet when it comes to attention from his people (think jealousy issues), food aggression and toy aggression with the little older dog already in residence for a number of years. So, we learned a lot about him in those 48 hours. He needs to be in a home where he is king of the hill, probably without either a cat or a dog to compete for attention, toys, food, or safety. We do not have proof he would not get along with a cat but he did not hesitate to bully a small dog and actually injure him. He is wonderfully charming one on one with a human and as he makes little grunting and snorting snuggling noises when you hold him.
