Safe Haven of Iowa County

This sweet dog was found west of Belle Plaine - he showed up at a farm and clearly he knew how to pick a great safe spot to take refuge at. A very nice family cared for him and was hoping he had a family that would come looking for him, but unfortunately they never came. The family couldn't keep him long term, so they called and asked if Safe Haven had room to take him in. 

Boomerang is a total lover - he is quick becoming a favorite of volunteers!  He keeps his kennel clean, so it is likely that he is housebroken. He loves to go on walks, and his nose is constantly sniffing the way - he definitley has a Hound nose!  Boomerang is a short, stout fella - looks like he may have a long body like a Basset?? but his face really looks like a Pointer..... it really is a fun guessing game to try and figure out what breeds he is a mix of :)
