Safe Haven of Iowa County

Karli and her 2 brothers were brought to Safe Haven when their owner couldn't find a home for his litter of puppies.  The pups are 75% Great Pyrenees and 25% Lab - becuase the father is a purebred Great Pyrenees and the mother is a Great Pyrenees / Lab Mix.  The puppies are all very well socialized and seem incedibly sweet and laid back.  These pups will likely be pretty huge when matured, so if you think you may be interested in them please do a little reserch on owning a Great Pyrenees dog to ensure they are a good fit for your family. This breed is often used as a Livestock Guardian Dog, however we are hoping to find nice, inside homes for these 3 puppies so they can just become part of a family.   

Their forever home will need to be a home that can focus on all the work that a puppy requires - houretraining is easiest to do when a puppy will not be left alone for long stretches of time - it is imperative to get a schedule for frequent trips outdoors.  A general puppy obedience class will also be a great first step towards creating a bond and getting off on the right foot towards having a well behaved puppy that matures into a wonderful family pet!
