Safe Haven of Iowa County

Dakota could not be any cuter, or sweeter!  He is estimated to be 6 months old - and he will be fully vetted (spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, dewormed, and vaccinated) before being ready for adoption and go to his new home on July 29th, 2019.  Dakota was a stray in Missouri, but the nearby shelter is over-crowded and Safe Haven was asked to take him in and help him find his forever family.

This new home will need to be a home that can focus on all the work that a puppy requires -  he has started with housetraining and seems to be coming along nicely - but he will need continued work yet.  This is easiest to do when a puppy will not be left alone for long stretches of time - it is imperative to get a schedule for frequent trips outdoors.  A general puppy obedience class will also be a great first step towards creating a bond and getting off on the right foot towards having a well behaved puppy that matures into a wonderful family pet!
