Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat) : : Male : : Young : : Medium
A few months ago, Safe Haven took in several young cats from a situation where the owners were overwhelmed by too many cats, meaning the cats had not had veterinary care. One of the cats, Ozzie, came to us with one eye that was closed, weepy, and obviously very painful-we won't show you those pictures because they are pretty gross. It was determined that he had Entropion in that eye. Entropion is a genetic condition that causes a portion of the eyelid to fold inward against the eyeball, which of course results in irritation and scratches to the cornea. Anyone who has had an eyelash in their eye can imagine how very painful it was for Ozzie and he had likely been suffering from this condition since his eyes opened as a tiny kitten. Fortunately Dr. Roland was able to perform corrective surgery.
The large picture is sweet Ozzie, completely recovered. Interested in adopting this pet? For more information go to www.wesavepets.com/info/adoption. And then click on the blue " Safe Haven of Iowa County Online Application" link at the bottom |
