Morie a a wonderfully cute little dog with all that you would expect from a little guy his size.     One of the major good attributes you can expect from him  is that he gets along with everyone: men, women, children, dogs, cats----sort of cats.   Cats that run from him outside are really considered fair game on his part.   But, what would he do if he caught up with them?   Most of them will be bigger and certainly meaner than him.    He has been at peace with cats inside that have the good sense not to run.

He is still quite young with many years of love to give ahead of him with the average life expectancy of Morkies of 10-16 years. We were told by previous owner that Morie is a cross between a Yorkie and a Maltese.  Typical of 'designer dog' crosses the appearance can vary a great deal and look more like one breed than the other.   He certainly has the Yorkie appearance.   Typical of the breed mix is the fact that he will need to be brushed several times a week to keep the coat from matting or tangling.    His coat is naturally long, soft and fine in texture.  What you may save in food costs for a small guy like Morie you will be able to invest in grooming, which he will need regularly.    Like all tiny dogs he has a tiny bladder which means he will need someone ready to cope with that factor.  His former owner tells us that he will use pads inside to urinate or urinate outside; but when it comes to the serious business of pooping, he much prefers to be inside.
