Safe Haven of Iowa County

Bones must have some 'wire-haired' ancestry in his background.   He has one of those really cute 'scruffy' looking coats that makes him look like he would be fun...and he seems determined to live up to that first impression.   Like his two brothers (by other mothers ) he  was immediately friendly upon meeting Safe Haven volunteers when we visited him at his temporary home where he shared a kennel with two other dogs. He was relinquished to us because the individuals who had saved him from being abandoned by an acquaintance had several dogs already.

As is typical of the terriers Bones definitely likes his exercise.   In fact, if he doesn't think he is getting enough he will hold his 'poop' until he has been walked for 15 minutes or so.   He is not about to go to a back yard, poop, and hustle back in.  He is looking for a home where someone can walk him or give him that exercise every day.   

Like all of our available dogs he is microchipped and up to date on vaccines, including kennel cough, and is current on flea and heartworm protection.
