Luna finally let us get a good picture of her this morning.    Isn't she pretty when she will let us show it !!  Notice the interesting long narrow white stripe from her chin to her chest in the picture below.  Her breed mix is really not easily identifiable.

We do know this from a young lady who was adopting her until we learned that no matter how hard an individual works at the adjustment she is not a good candidate for a multiple dog family.   Here is part of what the young lady tells us and wanted her next owners to know:

Luna is a very loving dog with high energy.  She needs a family that will be able to give her lots of attention.  Luna was found on the streets in Victor, Ia, by law enforcement before being brought to SHIC.  What happened in the time before she came to the shelter is unknown, but it may explain some of her issues with aggression.
The reason we took Luna back is because of an incident involving another one of our dogs.  While Safe Haven did tell us she doesn't do well with older dogs, we took our time to have her bond with our 5 year old husky.  They did very well together until the husky tried to protect its food, causing a fight.
She needs obediance classes and a strong dominant pet owner to teach her who is boss.   I believe with time and care Luna could make an amazing pet.   She just needs the right family.
