Safe Haven of Iowa County

Safe Haven will be getting in an adorable litter of 5 puppies (3 males and 2 females) on July 21st - since they are arriving right before Ragbrai starts, we are giving them all names of different towns that Ragbrai passes through this year!  They are currently 9 weeks old, and mom is a black Lab mix and Dad is a mystery. We have added a picture of momma to their profile - although her foster family has fallen in love with her and they are adopting her! We are hopeful they will all be spayed/neutered and ready for adoption by early August.

They were rescued in Texas, where the shelters are just overflowing yet with dogs and cats needing rescued. Luckily this litter was saved and fostered until they were old enough to be weaned and flown to Iowa on the volunteer flight network called "Pilots N Paws". If you are up for the work and time commitment that it takes to raise a puppy - please consider adopting one of these pups!
