Description:From the June 12, 2019 Safe Haven Newsletter. (pictures below)
All four of these kitties came to us about a year ago. Brothers Cole and Benjamin are about two years old and Farrah and Fritz are a little more than a year old now. They remain quiet and reserved, with Cole being the most outgoing of the set. While Cole will often come out to greet visitors, Benjamin and Farrah will stay up high on their pvc tree, assessing. It may take a couple of visits before they are willing to be pet. Fritz has finally been warming up to the volunteers who are patient enough to sit on the floor and allow him to approach to be pet. These kitties' experiences with humans before they arrived at Safe Haven have taught them to be cautious.
These four are very bonded and would be best adopted in pairs. Any pair is fine as they all seem to love each other equally. They need adopters who understand that these kitties will need a lot of time to get comfortable with their humans and their surroundings. But the rewarding feeling of finally winning the trust of kitties who bestow it with a lot of consideration is well worth the wait.
Original PostingCole has chosen a favorite person and is much more trusting of her than the rest of us. He can be silly and roll around on the floor for her to pet his tummy --- but for the rest of us he is still learning to trust us. He appears to only be
enduring petting from those he does not yet fully trust.
He came from a home where things were not always as calm as he might have liked so he is still getting used to quiet time to trust people; but, he is making geat progress.
