Tank is a young pup yet - just 7 months old and is a wonderful, loving fella that needs an active home to help guide him into doggie adulthood! He came to Safe Haven because his family didn't feel they had enough time to give him all he deserves and he was a bit too rambunctious for their senior dog and older cat. Tank's family says he is fine with dogs and cats though .....he just wants to play! He is also good children.
Tank seems very well socialized and knows basic commands. He is housetrained...but still needs work on not jumping up on people and a few house manners.....as one of his favorite hobbies is "counter-surfing". So please know Tank is still a pup that will need a family to continue teaching him and he would love and likely excel in an obedience class.
Tank's family said they have had him since he was first weaned, and his mom is an Australian Shepherd - he has her tail nubbin' and it is SO CUTE as it wiggles non-stop! Tank's dad is a black Catahoula, so he obviously got his color from his dad! This is a pretty cool mix and we just love Tank already and know there is a family out there for him that is looking for a young dog to train, and make a great devoted canine companion for years to come.
